I'd be able to do that(send a CDr).. except mine doesn't have a CD drive :-\ ohwell 1 MB RAM 30 MB HDD can boot from ROM, (D: drive is what it shows as) DOS 4.0 Windows 3.0 Some other Junk... Unless you consider beeping multimedia The only way to hook up a CD-ROM drive to those is external anyway. Ah, I still remember playing Wolfenstein 3D on a friend's PS/1 like it was yesterday. It was really choppy, too! Tell us, what moodel is it? Is it the original 2021 or the newer 2121? Is the processor a 286 or 386? You might want to put at least DOS 5.0 on there, too, as 4.0 kinda sucks. Dos 4.0 is built into the ROM :) I like version 5... it's anicer number than 6 for DOS... 1 MB RAM, 30 MB HDD... I'm thinking of upgrading it with RAM and HD and trying to run NT, OS/2, a nix, or Win95... I cant really run it wifout the monitor though... I may just try 95 on it, see it's slow and put NT 3.5 on it anyway what kind of RAM would it take? Official 68k videographer

The original PS/1 takes all proprietary parts unique to the PS/1. That's why it's like the worst IBM ever made. The newer 2121 takes more industry standard parts, so you'd be luckier if it's one of these.

It's one that gets power thru the monitor... so I don't know that much about it... I found where to get OS/2 on the internet... so I'll be looking into that :) Official 68k videographer
