actually... the only reason it's called LLama-X is because he bullied us into it... cats and I wanted to call it Genecomp Portals the whole way thru... the finished product will be called Portals though...It might have some appendages also... like "GeneComp Compusystems PortalsV1.0" Official 68k videographer |

Now I wouldn't say that, the os is still called Darwin -- Portals; the project name is Llama-X; and the company is Genecomp(pronounced Jenacomp). To make everyone happy.-danny You! usually what happens with anything I do, is that each of us has a different name for it anyway....iDunno though... originally, portals was cats and I Window Manager... if we call the base project Llama-X and the rest of it "Portals"Official 68k videographer |

I'd love to be a "stooge", as you so eloquently put it ;) but my skillz are limited to (for the dev area) interface design, icon creation, and any other graphic area. I'd be happy to help with whatever I can, however, and am very interested in seeing where this project goes!Liberated 68xxx Macs: IIsi, IIci, LC II, 2 Classic IIs Liberated PowerPC Macs: Powerbook 5300cs. thanks! I'm also interested in seeing where the project goes yeah I've basically taken on, unnoposed, the role of "general manager" everyone seems to just check with me before doing something... which means, naturally, noone is doing anything so far everyone is able to do the graphics work... we're basically building out of ready made "parts" like the BSD base, AfterStep Wndow manager and OpenOffice and the like... I plan on assembling and selling a few compact desktop systems with the Genecomp Portals preinstalled on it... it should be fun Official 68k videographer |
