http://www.petitiononline.com/macos8x/petition.html
If you are a dedicated MLA soldier, and you haven't already, or are now on a different IP address pool, you must sign this petition, THIS is the petition, protesting what stops us from using our 68k macs to their full potential, at a minimum of cost, this is what keeps us owners of first and second, even third generation PowerPC macs from running the best software we can.

This petition, tells apple that OS8.x is "dead" even more "dead" than OS9, they won't be making any money from it, especially if there's nowhere I canlegally buy it, it would discourage so many people from illegally trading software, by making it free.

those who say "it's too big to download" are those of us who are connected to the internet, slowly, only because the fastness either isn't there *yet* or we don't pay for it, but for whatever percent of americans, no, the world who CAN download quickly, and those who can get the CDs from friends, this would be the ultimate liberator's opportunity.

please step forward, and tell apple, that we want OS 8, free to the public

thank you much

(this is probably where someone tells me that theres' already a topic about this)

No. 2514

:-)

Hey, is there no "bootleg" Apple os's?

Well When Atari ST TOS wasn't enough for some, people wrote thier own versions such as:-

MinT
MultiTos
Magic

Perhaps someone will do some rewriting with Mac os 8x & add in some much sought after features, namley a decent file selector.

Apple officialy don't support any 68k macs now(I believe) & so should also provide the software as freeware/abandonware.
