Well, the time finally came today- I switched from my sister's old family plan, and got my own cell phone plan, under my name! I've been on her plan for a couple of years, but I've gotten sick of paying her for my phone bill- just one more stress I didn't need... Anyway, at the At&t store, I was able to get a really good deal (at least, I think it was a good deal...) on a calling plan... and that spiffy Sony/Erikson T68i phone! The phone is really really tiny- it makes my 'old' Nokia 5165 seem huge! Plus, it has a super-crisp 256-color screen, IrDA, Bluetooth, and a jillion other features that I'll prob. never use! Wheeeee! Any of you folks used this phone? I love that (once I get the little dongle for my PowerBook) I'll be able to go online, wirelesly! Schweeeeet! I'm using an Ericsson T60LX...no bluetooth or 8-bit color screen, but it's a cool phone none-the-less. I have AT&T Wireless too, and they gave me this model free for extending my contract for another year. So, next time my contract runs out, I'm sure they'll be giving me another new one.666th poster and 666th thread-creator Mod of the Mac II series Forums Total 68K Macs liberated: 7 My Site: http://cine.sytes.net My Hardware Page: http://cineware.sytes.net |

Yup, I have that same phone. Well, I actually have the (Lunar Grey) T68, but with T68i firmware. You'll love it. Bluetooth works like a charm, especially combined with a fast GPRS connection, but it works fine with dialup, too. If you use Apple's Address Book and iCal, you can use iSync to keep your addresses on your phone and have it remind you of appointments. Sending SMS messages from the Address Book is kinda cool, too (especially since you get to use your PowerBook's keyboard instead of your phone's), and seeing a message with caller ID on screen when someone phones you is a nice feature, too. ,xtG .tsooJ -- RTFM |
