Hello, I bought a stick of 256mb Kingston Value Ram for my iMac 333. I cracked the case and put in the RAM and it's only recognizing it as a 128mb module. I've pressed the CUDA button and put the RAM in both slots and still no change. Even when the ram is by it's self it only recognizes 128mb. For all those curious, it's Kingston Value ram 256 PC133 CL3 144 pin SO-Dimm. What's in there with it is PC 133 CL3, synch, 128 mb, SO-dimm. My PC buddy wants to flash the bios, I'm pretty sure we don't have those on Macs. Any Help? It could be a limitation of the RAM controller, but I didn't think the 333 iMacs had that problem.Anyway, this topic is in the wrong forum, so I'll move it. ~Coxy - Leader, Tactical Operations Unit Mayor of NuBus City v3.0

It is possible to reload/update the BIOS on an iMac... but you should be REALLY careful while doing so. My iMac (the infamous $35 one) was completely dead when I got it, because (as far as I can tell), the previous owner tried to alter/update the CMOS/BIOS, and somehow botched the job... resulting in a totally dead iMac- dead to the point that, to get it running again, I had to replace the CPU card! Okay, that's about it. Good luck! SpaceBoyOfficial MLA Raconteur AppleBASIC FOREVER!
