I have a real sweet oldie but goodie... it's a Franklin made Apple IIe compatible computer with amber screen monitor. Has the 5.25" double (I think) drive onboard and is in PRISTINE condition. The boxes are a tad scrunched here and there from being moved around a few times and taken to used homeschool book sales and back...But this unit is in great working condition. Only really used it a couple of times. My mom bought it to do her school work on when she was going through her B.A. in Psych, but shortly after that the school started moving to PCs and WordPerfect, so the Franklin got put back in its box and left sit for years. We tried to sell it a couple of times, but no one wanted to take it off our hands. Even the school we wanted to donate it to, didn't return our calls on it... LOL... So... if you are interested in this piece of history... make me an offer! Anything reasonable will be accepted. The computer and monitor is kinda heavy, so I dunno if anyone wants to actually have it shipped, but if you're in the Milwaukee, WI area... you can pick it up from our office. I just want to see it being used and enjoyed... it wasn't a cheap unit as I recall and I wished I used it back during my grade school days when I cut my teeth on Apple ][e's and ][g's I remember when we got the newer Apple and was amazed at the 3.5" hard drive and seperate keyboard and BLUE monitor... lol Anyway... feel free to e-mail me@dncsolutions.net and let's talk. I'm not greedy, just have other upgrades to buy for the newer computers and the extra cash would help me out. |

Wow! A franklin Ace 1000 was my first computer... way back in '83 or '84. I've always regretted giving it away about 10 years ago. Sounds like yours is the ace 1100 if its got the built in floppies... like this one here maybe?Cheers!
