... is there one anywhere? as is, is there a list of which 68k's run A/UX?

I'm rather interested in running it on my performa 578, actually it'd be a thrill to run it on the SE FDHD in my bedroom, but i dont think that's possible

A/UX will not run on a 57x machine, because the video hardware is not supported.

OK, AFAIK, A/UX will run on an SE/30, Q650, 800, 900, 950, 700
not a whole helluva lot supports it, YMMV if you use an SE/30 of course. I use a Q650 for mine, and it works fine, it is just that once you install it, boot from a 7.5 disk and install the LATEST system enabler 040 in the system folder. if you do not, it will not work. Also, you cannot upgrade the OS in the macpartition, without some unnice effects. But anyway, A/UX flies on my Quadra, and life is good :)

it runs quite nice on the IIsi actually... I need to find out how to get it installed again (the CD drive that I used is gone... gotta find another one) and then what kind of serving programs I can run...

try compiling Mozilla, or Tux Racer ;)

but seriously, I think the thing to do would be to put another WinMan for the X11 interface. I think that'd be cooler

I guess the good follow-up would be:
what *nixen can I run on an SE FDHD?

I might put MacMinix on my 6.0.8 boot disk...
