Just in case anyone is intrested - Proline is going to be gone as of 2/14/03

They still have bezels, faceplates and drive kits for Quadra 800, 840, 650 and 610s and drive brackets for models as far back as the LC and IIsi.

It may be worth a look if you're thinking of adding a zip or CD to that old Quadra.

hmm... I saw that on AppleFritter... I looked around there and that's the kind of stuff I usually don't need, or can find on eBay

but ti's good to know that if i need something like that, it's there...

I would get empty Quad840AV drive bay covers... I wouldn't mind having been able to have all 3 of the bays blank.... that silent solid state networkbooting workstation comes to mind

I have one of those blanks if you want it. I thought I had two, but the other has a broken hinge and is glued on the front panel (typical ebay junk). Email me if you want it - no charge of course.

Oh, I just love reading about this kind of creating variants that has never excisted. Maybe collectors items in the future?!

you think that the floppyless 840AV could be a collectors item? I just thought it'd give the machine a more cleaner look

I'll have to try it when I move and get one again... my other one broke

Well, maybe, who nows.

One thing for sure, an original Q840AV will, if there will be any originals to find
