the internet went down!

It's good to know the system can still function, and can recover quickly (that was the original design intent of ARPAnet), but it's also kind of freaky that so much of it can go down at once. I was surprised Digital Forest (forest.net) aparently didn't patch their SQL Servers. That patch has been out for a while now - probably why M$ was still working. It sucks when a traditional Mac hosting company gets blasted off the Internet because they've got a couple SQL server machines running. Applefritter was gone along with everyone else on forest.net Although, they were one of the first sites that returned and posted a link to M$ regarding "Slammer".
