Howdy all,

I've got a couple of '040 items for sale:

1. Powerbook 520 (OK, LC040 here) for parts. The power inlet seems to be bad. Can only be booted when the power cord is wiggled near the inlet. Also, the 'legs' from the faschia in front of the microphone are broken off, so it doesn't seat perfectly (although stays in place) as it should. Has a 32MB RAM card in it for a total of 36MB, and I kept the 8MB card that was in it when I bought it. Batteries will not take a charge. I'm getting ready to drop this thing at Goodwill, so if you are even vaguely interested, make me any offer. You pay shipping.

2. Insignia Solutions SoftWindows 1.0.2 This requires the full 68040 CPU for best performance, but will run on a 68030. If you want to emulate the PC 80287, you must have a math coprocessor (such as a full 68040 or a 68030 with 68881/68882 coprocessor) 16MB RAM recommended. Includes Microsoft Windows 3.1, MS-DOS 6.21 and NetWare Client. Again, make an offer, or it will probably end up in the trash.

Feel free to contact me with any questions.

How much do you want for it, if I can afford it, I have dibs!

Really, Iam interested more in the case plastics and screen, and mebbie we can work out a deal for the rest of the parts, namely the RAM card.

if anyone is interested in the parts, I'll get the unit shipped to me, and part it out myself. Remember, I have no use for anything other than the screen and case plastics.

thanks

oh, email me, using the email in profile, it works.

hey Geoff, if I take it, do you want the innards? I can sell them to you. All I want is the case plastics, and the hard drive will be for a friend.

let me know
