If I had a vcr that required a 100v power supply instead of our (UK) 220v then could I do this, ie:- where or can I buy a convertor?

I have been playing Duke Nukem 3D, the demo. I got past the first bit & am stuck. I have blown up the building & been into the bar. (& played pool for 10 minutes), but I wanted to use the phone but the line was just a normal tone & how could 1 dial?

but anyway what I need is the red access card, anybody got any tips?

What you'd need is a step-down transformer.

Maplin is the best source for this kind of stuff in the UK. Howerver it's quite common for things like this to have a switch on the back to swap between 110v and 240v so you might want to check that out first.
