I have a Quadra 840 A/V for sale. Plain and simple. I'm not looking to make a lot of cash on it, and I would rather sell it here than on eBay. The only mod I've made to it, is that I've painted it black and placed a white Apple window decal sticker on each side (to match the PowerMacs). Oh yeah, I also replaced the traditional green (?) LED light with a red one. It looks pretty cool against the black paint. I haven't booted it in a few months now, so I don't recall all the specs, but it's pretty well loaded.

If there are any interested parties out there, I will certaintly boot it up, take a few pics of it, and post all pertinent info. It's a good machine, however it's just collecting dust right now (not enough power outlets for it and a monitor).

If you're interested in selling the outer metal case/front fascia alone, let me know...I did a bad job painting my 840av black and never fixed it.

I really should'nt be looking at this!

That said if cine takes the outers then I could be interested in the innards(I have a dead 840av just need to replace the mobo I think)

Strip it down & let me know the cost of shipping to UK.

I havn't replied to this, which is quite rude of me.

I'm not going for it & a few of us will know why, shipping from America.

I've had a few ppl b4 say that it'll be ok then I dont hear from them.

Thanks for the offer lightning, but I doubt it'll be worth my while.

Okay... so far I am getting little to no response for the Quadra, so maybe it's time to up the ante.

Folks, I really would rather sell this thing for cheap, than to have to throw it away. It's in pretty good condition and I'm willing to part with it for a mere 30 bucks, plus shipping and handling. I've seen it on ebay for 40, so I think I'm being pretty fair.

But wait, there's more!

I also have a Quadra 650 and an LC that I am completely willing to throw in for free. As long as you are comfortable paying for the shipping and handling, it's all yours.

All the machines are decked out pretty nicely. It's been a few years since I booted them, so I honestly don't remember what they all have, but the LC and 650 used to be graphics machines, so they were upgraded farely well. The 840 used to belong to a doctor, so he had some money to get a good model and put some RAM into it.

I am in central Texas, so if you think you're up for the S&H, drop me a line. I prefer paypal, but I can take a check or money order. However, these machines will not leave my house until the money clears. I'm getting rid of these machines for cheap, not free.

This is all for the boxes only, no mouse, keyboard, or monitor are included. No power cords either (unless I have some extra ones... I can look), but I am leaving the RAM and hard drives and all other internal parts as is. Well, I just remembered that I took out the hard drive from the 650 and placed it into the 840 so it would have larger storage space. I will leave them as they are since both machines are going together. They all boot up just fine, nothing is wrong with them, I simply don't use them anymore.

Email me for pics or questions.

How nice. No one has inquired about these machines. So now they have to go to eBay.
