I recently received a //c+ from my school. It seems to be in perfect condition but there are no disks with it. Does anyone know where I could find disk images to download? And I was also wondering if anyone knew of any good assembly tutorials for //c+ programming. Thanks in advance.

You can get a boot disk containing ProDOS 8 here.
Download this file: Apple_II_System_Disk_3.2.sea.bin This extracts into a Disk Copy 4.2 image (I think) which can easily be copied over to an 800k floppy(DSDD)
And the text file: Apple_II_System_Disk_3.2_Info.txt

As for programming, check out http://www.applefritter.com/apple2/index.html . I myself don't do prgramming, so I'm not much help there.

Another question, can I format a regular 1.44mb disk as an 800k floppy or do I need to get some 800k floppies somewhere?

You can format a 1.4 floppy as an 800k floppy (just put a bit'o tape over the hole that is not the disk-lock hole). But it is NOT recommended and may be unreliable. The magnetic substrate layers are different for the two formats.

Good luck,
