It was 99 pennies for a Mac day...I got: 2 LC 580 1 color classic 1 color classic 2 2 PB540c 2 Duo 280c 1 Cube (450 Mhz) Awesome looking machine and works too!! 4 7300 1 LC520 All for 99 cents each. about 15 dollars. Then I got 2 iBook Special Editions for 15 dollars each but only 1 ac adapter for the 2. Good thing I went today, since school starts day after MLK day they had to get rid of this stuff to make room for all the PEECEE stuff. I think I may go back on tuesday and see if I can get stuff for free... All in all spent 50 bucks and got a whole collection of new and old macs. (1 of the 7300 doesn't work... boo...) |

That's not entirely unheard of. I did get my 6400/180 for $8, and it had a bad hard drive. But a cube for 99c?? There's got to be something wrong with it. Maybe aesthetic? Or maybe the sound doesn't work or something. Isn't this somewhere in NY or something? Can't be. Even empty G4 Cube shells sell for $100+ on eBay. Hell, even if the damn thing was completely destroyed in a fire, somebody'd give you $50 for it. But, a working Cube for $1? Either iApple is full of it, or whoever's selling it is addicted to some kind of logic-depleteing narcotic. 666th poster and 666th thread-creator Mod of the Mac II series Forums Total 68K Macs liberated: 7 My Site: http://cine.sytes.net My Hardware Page: http://cineware.sytes.net |

I'm putting my money on the theory that a laxative would be the antidote for what's ailing iApple. . . . that said . . . I'd gladly make a trip to the store, be happy to confirm its existence and admit to an error in my estimation of the liklihood of this scenario . . . on the off chance that it's legit. jt

y'all are friggin' hilariousYou have to consider that like 90% of computer geeks are exclusively PC users and have no idea what a cube is, let alone what it's worth. Then there's the people who can't even use a computer to begin with. They would probably think that the cube was some kind of fancy ottoman or something to set their beer on.
