Hello, This is my first post after reading 68kmla for several months and rescuing 4 LC III, 2 LC475s, a Performa 575 and a Classic II..i also got a PPC 5400/200.

I recently obtained a copy of A/UX but after looking on the internet found that the LC III i planned to put it on is incompatable but all the quadras are. I looked on ebay to see what they had but they didn't have any Quadras for sale that were decently priced, Just parts.

I was wondering if anyone had a Quadra 800 or higher sitting around that they would like to send me...I will trade it for any of the above or a //gs or //e...if there's anything else you want i can probably get it form my school as they are always throwing away stuff.

I would be willing to pay S&H or pick it up if you're in the central Illinois area. Thanks.

Forgot that i also have a powerbook something or other..forgot what is is tho

go for a 650, the case is a lot better designed, and they run a/ux with no compatability issues, as long as you have the correct enablers.

(the same thing I said in your last two posts, heh, again, post in one place.)

Hey there, I have a Quadra 840 A/V that I (just this weekend) decided to part with and maybe put it on eBay. However, I decided to check here first (I used to frequent these forums) since I would rather it end up in a loyalists hands and not some schmuck trying to resell it at a higher price.

Anyway, let me know what you think is a fair price. I can take some pictures of it and post today. I'd have to boot it up and see what the configs are on it, but I can tell you this: I have painted it black and put those Apple decal window stickers on each side of it (to match the design of the PowerMacs). I apoplogize if this "mod" is not for your taste.

A/V Macs will not run A/UX.

I HAVE A QUADRA 800.

IT WILL RUN A/UX.

PLEASE WANT IT! (I'm not excited or anything.)

I've been having a tough time finding someone who wants this baby. It's a wonderful machine. I really don't need any more macs at the moment, but what else might your school have? Do you have even a little bit of cash? I don't need much for her, but I bought an 840av, and I'd love to get some of it back. What kind of specs do you need? I can give you a 350 meg or 1 gig HD and varying amounts of ram.

Hi. I've got a Quadra 700 if your interested. Rescued it from the trash. Am new to macs in general and don't know too much about the 68k's. I booted this thing once off an external scsi but didn't really check it out. 40Mb(?) ram, a ethernet card with 10bT and those other two ports I can't remember the names of lol, also has an apple 8.24GC video card. Don't know the size of the hard drive, it actually has a A/UX sticker on it but I've never gotten it to boot. Case is in nice shape. I'd gotten a few other older macs with it but only kept this one because I thought I may use it for something...and its a cool little tower. If you want to trade that PPC 5400 for it I'd be interested.
