Hi.

I have powerbook190cs, and I have a PC. This is the best way I found to transfer my files to/fro from PC <-> Mac <-> PC.

I came upon this great software called StarGate, available from http://www.krs.com.au/sg.html

All u need is a null modem cable, easily made as shown below:

8 7 6
1 2 3 4 5
5 4 3
6 7 8 9
2 1
DB 9 (female)
8 pin DIN
(male)

Connection:

8 pin DIN DB 9
--------- ------
1.........................8
2.........................4
3.........................2
4,8.......................5
5.........................3

Modem/Printer port of you mac and Com1/com2 of your PC, and it works great.

Hope this helps you all.

Not only is this info good to know for Powerbook users, but any Mac user. I'll move this over to 68K Peripherals because it belongs there.

Thanks for the info!
