I have a Torx T-8 for my PowerBook, but it's not nearly long enough to open the cases of my Plus and ColorClassic for upgrades/hackage. So, I need one of those really long Torx screwdrivers for opening them. I thought I'd find my old one in my Parent's garage in Miami (I actually did fine the original manual and video tape that MacWarehouse sent to me when I maxed out my original Mac Plus' RAM in 1990) but no luck. Anybody got one??? 666th poster and 666th thread-creator Mod of the Mac II series Forums Total 68K Macs liberated: 7 My Site: http://cine.sytes.net My Hotline Server: 840av.sytes.net

If you don't come across one here, try at your local Sears or Tool Supply. It's either a T-10 or T-15, can't remember off the top of head, but it's common enough a size that you should be able to find one fairly cheap. Auto supply stores are good sources too."One slip and down the hole we fall" Stryders Community |

I also have a Torx T-12, but it isn't long enough either. Thanks for the advice, Stryd!666th poster and 666th thread-creator Mod of the Mac II series Forums Total 68K Macs liberated: 7 My Site: http://cine.sytes.net My Hotline Server: 840av.sytes.net

It's a T15 for cracking those compact Maccies...I too recommend Sears. They seem to have two models. Only one of them has a long enough shaft. It's the "pro" model, which is all-black with a rubberized handle and costs $4.99 (the regular model has a silver shaft, blue-and-clear plastic handle, and costs $3.99).
