ok... so that's a misleading title...whaddya all think about the new PowerBook G4s... they are SOOO cool aren't they? .ME thinks that if they added a popup stand built into the big one, they'd make moneys selling them as desks and podiums Official 68k videographer Edited by - cory5412 on 10 Jan 2003 06:39:59 |

Despite my love for my darling Galadriel, I have a serious case of iLust for a 12" powerbook.I am now on the horns of a dilemma. $1800 Chris Moeller painting $1800 Baby AlBook I want both. I need neither. 68K's liberated: 4 68Ks adopted to loving homes: 2 PowerMacs adopted: 1 |

The downside of the 12" PowerBook is that it's only got a 640MB RAM cap, no backlit keyboard like the 17" and I don;t think it has a PCMCIA slot, either. However, it's still a pretty cool liitle machine. As for the 17"...? Wow...I'd love it, but even my 15" TiBook is pretty bulky to carry around. I went through hell trying to use it on the plane...666th poster and 666th thread-creator Mod of the Mac II series Forums Total 68K Macs liberated: 7 My Site: http://cine.sytes.net My Hotline Server: 840av.sytes.net

Get the frigging AlBook, you can use the Chris Moeller painting as a desktop wallpaper. You'll get a lot better use out of the AlBook than a painting for sure. then again, paintings sometimes appreciate in value if limited edition...... I still vote for the TiBook. Well, it took me about 3 minutes to decide that I will be stepping up from my iBook 600Mhz to a 12" PowerBook...Aluminum casing, built-in BlueTooth, AirPort Extreme, SuperDrive, 866 MHz 7455... All in the much-loved case of my trusty iBook! Ah, bliss! Lucky for the missus, too. She'll get the iBook to play with. ,xtG .tsooJ -- RTFM |

Oh that painting is the ultimate in limited editions. It's the the painting itself. Alas, I put down what I thought was a complete joke bid on a PowerBook 3400 and I'm now $200 shy of what I need. Durn'd eBay! Eitherway, I now have a new toy to play with. 68K's liberated: 4 68Ks adopted to loving homes: 2 PowerMacs adopted: 1 |
