I returned a whole load of movies at Blockbuster and just for the fun of it, went into Value Village. I looked around and saw a commodore 386 and a really nice LC 475 for $3.99 CDN. I got it home and it turns out it got a really slow 160mb Conners HD but 20mb or RAM. I guess that's the way of the universe, I get a nice PB 140 which turns out to be a PB 170 in a PB 140 case and then the HD dies. Then I get a LC 475 with 20mb or RAM and a slow HD. Any way it's my first LC!. I guess I have to change my sig... Nice! The LC475s are really nice machines, and they're fun to trick out. When i got mine a year and a bit ago, it had:8 megs of RAM 512k VRAM 160 meg Quantum HD System 7.1 Now look at it: 36 megs of RAM Dual 1 gig HDs AppleCD 600i 1 meg VRAM AppleVision 1710 display Global Villiage Teleport Gold II modem (14.4k) Mac OS 8.1 Mine's not completely maxed out, as it can accept bigger hard drives, faster CD ROMs, even CD-R/RW burners. It can also accept up to 128 megs of RAM. The modem could be faster, and an ethernet card could occupy its PDS slot. Still, as it is its a nice machine. -------------------------- Give your dreams a chance.™ - Apple in the mid '90s Warrior maclover5 68k Macintosh Liberation Army Number of 68ks Liberated: 6
