I saw an interesting Mac II today. it had a plate with a 19 pin connection in one of the slot openings on the back. The port was connected to one of the floppy connectors on the mobo, thus giving a Mac II one internal and one external floppy drive.that was the only interesting things about this II tho. no other reasons to get it, and I don;t have room to store it. I did buy a Apple 21 inch color monitor today, for $1. not sure if it works yet tho. ~Marchie ~Chaplain Marchie 68k Macintosh Liberation Army ~~"We are all Mad here."~~ |

Ooooh, a 21" apple monitor for $1! What's the max res on that model? 1280x1024?Yeah, lately I find 68k's that I just can't bring myself to save because they wouldn't end up doing anything. Now, if I come across a CC, an SE/30, a Q840/950 or PB190, that's another story. 666th poster to the 68K Macintosh Liberation Army Forums Mod of the Mac II series Forums Total 68K Macs liberated: 5 Visit my site! |

yes, $1.but now I find out why: it's power supply is bad. I'm going to attempt to fix it though. I'm getting the schematics, and access to an Ocilloscope. if I find it's just not worth it, it'll become part of a fish tank. ~Marchie ~Chaplain Marchie 68k Macintosh Liberation Army ~~"We are all Mad here."~~ |

Just remember: if you do find a Color Classic and somebody asks you if it's a TV, remember to pull out that 2'x4" with the 10" rusty nail and beat him/her with it.
Use the same procedure if somebody comes up to you and blasphemes the Quadra 840av/950. FireWire is fast General, 4 star Forum moderator 68k Macintosh Liberation Army |

Damn you, Marchie! I'd love to transplant my 7500's RAM, CPU daughtercard and PCI cards and drives into a 9600...with three more slots to boot...666th poster to the 68K Macintosh Liberation Army Forums Mod of the Mac II series Forums Total 68K Macs liberated: 5 Visit my site! |

Correction.. it's a 9500.. not a 9600.Still QUITE a good computer tho. I've decided that I'm putting in another 1.2 gig hard drive, and hooking my CD burner up to it, since I could then I'd have one LESS reason to boot into OS 9 on my G4. I'm also putting my TV turner card into it, and in the near future, a USB card. I need more RAM for that tho. ~Marchie ~Chaplain Marchie 68k Macintosh Liberation Army ~~"We are all Mad here."~~ |
