What is it, How do I utilise it?

I saw a nubus ISDN card on ebay & so asked my ISP if they support ISDN. They were helpful & informed me that they support 64k ISDN. But I dont know the ins & outs of ISDN, is it a telephone line connection?

What do I need for ISDN aside from a mac with an ISDN card fitted?

Lol,

What a bummer, It appears you need a digital line & I'm guessing my phone company are gonna charge by the bucket load for the privalage.

Sulk, sulk, sulk.

Yep. ISDN was the original "broadband", as it offered up to twice the speed of dial-up without the many analog drawbacks. The only problem was the cost. Installing a proprietary ISDN line was prohibitively expensive, a problem that current broadband technologies solved by using existing phone and cable lines.

ISDN (at least i the UK) sucks. 128k ISDN is better but BT will charge double their per minute rate. 64k ISDN uses a single line 128K ISDN uses 2 lines. Effectiveley making 2 calls at the same time.

Some of the cable packages aren't too bad though and usually are bundled with cheaper phone calls and extra TV channels.
