I'm trying to connect my CC (7.1) and my Quadra (7.1.1) over local talk, my CC is the server. This is for installing netBSD on my Q700, but it doesn't see the cc!!! any ideas, they are all connected to the printer ports.

Did you turn file sharing on? And enable sharing on the drives and enclosed folders?

You select ports in the AppleTalk control panel, Ethernet, Printer Port, Modem Port, Remote Only. Choose whatever one you have the physical connection hooked up thru.

In System 7.1 you use the Network control panel to select between serial, ethernet, or remote access (and, presumably, token ring). If you are using the serial port, make sure that you are using the printer port.
