we should have a gathering of the 68Kmla in one place. we would bring our prized macs (or all of them, if you wish) and then we would trade and buy and sell and junk! somewhere like... some big place... the saddle dome in calgary!! muahahaha!THnnxxx

Unfortunetly, I think something like this would be extremely hard to pull off for some people. For example, holding it in Calgary, would pretty much exclude anyone in Austrailia or the East Coast US/Canada.As I see it, physically the 68KMLA is divided into 9 factions:
Western Austrailia
Eastern Austrailia
West Coast US
Central US
East Coast US
Western Canada
Eastern Canada
United Kingdom & Europe Trying to organize a function including more than any one group would be very hard to pull off.  This is why a 68KMLA member needs to invent the personal matter teleporter!  ------------------

HEY HEY HEY HEY HEY HEY HEY!!!!!I am building a teleporter! mine! all mine! I hold the patent! (almost) and with Item duplication... here's what we should do... create an atmosphere on the moon, and we all go there!
since it's so easy to use... (it's controlled by a mac... why wouldn't it be?) we can go back and forth at will to get other stuff... show off our rooms in person and other cool stuff in fact... we'll not just have an annual meeting... we'll have a HQ where we can all come and go as we please... and with item duplication... rare macs abound!!! Ok, so we have your "factions" right? Well what we could do, is have regionalized gatherings all linked to a live video feed in buildings that have high speed internet access and stuff like that.... Costly yes, but if you wanna do it, It may be worth it. Of course everyone attending would have to make up the money to rent the hall or whatever. ________________

why don't we all get T1s and Xserves so that we can all do super streaming media ect ect... and PBG4s and firewire videocameras... ;) and it'll all go straight to the central serverfarm on our own little island in the pacific!or Teleportation can bring us, in the person, to that crazy little island Official 68k videographer |
