Yep. You'll need 7.5.5 to be able to partition a drive that big, and 8.1 to use HFS+ on it (otherwise your allocation block sizes are going to be *HUGE* on that puppy!)~Coxy - Leader, Tactical Operations Unit Mayor of NuBus City v3.0

'ndeed. As i've suggested many times before, and as i do on my LC630's 6 gigger, you'll need to install OS 8.1, and have two (or more) partitions. If you want, you can use a layout like mine, or with a smaller or bigger HFS partition, or even more HFS or HFS+ partitions! Either way, i have my 6 gigger set up like this:2 gig HFS volume: contains Mac OS 8.1 system folder, apps, other stuff 4 gig HFS+ volume: temporary storage area for stuff to be burnt onto CD, or for video captured from my Video System -------------------------- Give your dreams a chance.™ - Apple in the mid '90s Warrior maclover5 68k Macintosh Liberation Army Number of 68ks Liberated: 6
