anyone who doesn't have one of these TV/Video cards for their performa doesn't know what they're missing.
I'm watching TV on my 636 and there's this news story about some psychadelic electric jelly fish that have never been seen before in captivity. So I record 20 seconds of this neon pulsating never-been-seen-before comb jelly, transfer it over my LAN to a G3 and compress it with quicktime. Now I have 1 megabyte of glowing-wriggling-multicolor jellyfish footage to inspire my friends into a road trip to the monterey bay aquarium.
The whole process took about 2 minutes. Try to beat that with a VCR.

I want to get one of those Formac Studio DV + TV units so I can not only digitize analog video, but use my TiBook as a TiVo! $400 is a big price to pay for analog-to-digital video conversion, but, sadly to say, it would be a lot easier than using my 840av or project 7100/80av.

I know what you mean mathgeek, especially with PLaythrough mode. Trinity has never looked more attractive than she does on an AppleVision 1710!
