Hi!, i have a huge problem, i have got a "PowerBook Duo 270c" mac from scool, just the hardware not the software...My problem is the network, i don't have a clue how to make it work.. i have installed MacOS 7.5.5 on the computer via Floppydisks and OpenTransport 1.1.2, The "network-card" is a "Dayna Pocket SCSI/LINK"-adapter, http://fanskapet.skrubben.mine.nu/images/network.jpg <--- the adapter i think i have inserted it in the right port.. i can't find any drivers for it... it seems like Intel have bought up the company that was making those network-cards.. please help me! |

You only have it half hooked up it looks like. Now, I've never use done of those, but to me it looks like the SCSI/Ethernet adapter is drawing power over the ADB (that's kinda cool.. no AC adapter needed)... But you need to connect a SCSI cable from the Ethernet Adapter to the SCSI port on the Minidock. ~Marchie EDIT: I was dumb and not seeing the pic properly and said something stupid... ~Chaplain Marchie Admin of The WonderLAN ~~"We are all Mad here"~~ Edited by - marchie on 07 Dec 2002 15:07:30 |

Just let me know how it works! You DO have the SCSI cable to link the NIC to the MiniDock don't you? I didn't see it in the piccie, you'll definitely need it like marchie said.. . . and welcome to the MLA! jt edit: linkage http://www.intel.com/support/dayna/dporttrb.htm http://www.intel.com/support/dayna/ Edited by - alcoa on 07 Dec 2002 17:18:55

Yep. i got the SCSI cord plugged in.. well.. i got the "networking" part to work.. the computer reaches the network becouse i can use the "sendEcho" diagnostics application that was included in the driverpackage, when i use the "Lookup again" function, the app lists -------- Device:| -------- Babar Epson --------Babar is my DHCP server in the network and Epson is the network printer that's plugged in the Win2k server "Babar". so he reaches the network now.. but i can't get a IP, not manual configuration of DHCP, nothing works.. have tried to lurking around in both "MacOS-classic-networking" and '"OpenTransport 1.1.2" realy strange. / Fanskapet
