Hi all,Finally got around to setting up the 2100 for internet last night. One problem though. It asks for a DNS Name Server address (or something like that), which I don't need on my iBook to connect. I remember that when I set up my Duo 230, I needed a Name Server Add. I can check that, but is there any way to get around needing that info? Cause both my PC and iBook just need user name, password, and phone number to dial. Thanks, icebook1 |

If you connect via DHCP you don't need it...Connecting by Modem of somekind you will. Call your ISP and get the DNS address, or check it out on their website. ~Marchie ~Chaplain Marchie Admin of The WonderLAN ~~"We are all Mad here"~~ |

yeah, you get the dns address via dhcp if that's how you're connecting, if you don't connect with dhcp and set it up manually, you will need the dns server addy or you won't be able to surf with domain names, it will have to be ip addresses only. I "THINK" there might be free dns servers out there, but i'm not certain. You can use anybody's dns server and it will work, well, I know that when i had both dial up and cable from different isps, i could swap them._______________________ Sgt.
