I just have to say how pleased I am. After recieving what appeared to be a bum 100 from eBay (battery didn't work, hd wouldn't show up) I cracked her open. Turns out the HD ribbon came half unseated during shipping. That fixed my problems and it also cleaned up the lower trackball button's action.

I just loaded 6.0.7 and I'm heading home to play with all my old software. Star Wars and Dark castle here I come.

Don't you need 6.0.8L on a pb100?

I think the power manager chip might be fried. If you really want to see whats up with it, check out some of my old PowerBook 100 threads in the PowerBook forum.

Sounds like the old problem with the power brick... you should replace the plug (into the PB) if possible.

Alot of times the solder joint on the power adapter socket on the motherboard would crack as well. If the power adapter plug feels loose in the PB, it might be this. If so, just crack her open and heat the solder on these pins.

Tried that, to no avail.
