Yesterday I went to my local PeeCee shop and picked up a 16" Macintosh Color Display. 832x624 pixels of pure Trinitron bliss. Great for Photoshop, Web pages or whatever. I guess it pays to know your enemies... P.S. it was only $25! Macs Liberated: 9 - 6400/180 (main Mac), 660AV, 636CD, LCIII+, LCII (2), Classic II, Classic and SE. Yeah, I hate that friggin beach ball too... |

I don't think I'd ever owned an Apple branded monitor over 9" until the Portrait and the only other one was the 5260 I got recently. Then again . . . I've never owned any monitor for a Mac in the shop smaller than 19" or one for the macs at home that was smaller than 17" AT ALL! Enduring 9" worth of 2 bit pixels for several years forced me into a lifetime of decadent display excess. jt

Kudos to those of you who have gotten the FREE stuff, but I am still jubilant because here in the "conservative" midwest anything that is not micro$oft or PeeCee is a triumph. I am fortunate to have enough Apple hardware to keep me reasonalbly saisfied until I can afford a PowerMac G4 DP. Sure its great to get free hardware, but not everyone is that fortunate, besides - as long as I can avoid windoze I'll do it, even if I have to pay for the priviledge.Macs Liberated: 9 - 6400/180 (main Mac), 660AV, 636CD, LCIII+, LCII (2), Classic II, Classic and SE. Yeah, well, i got my AppleVision 1710 for free! 1152x870 of pure Trinitron bliss! Btw, Slomac, you have probably noticed that your "OOPS!" thread is gone. I deleted it because it looked like a double post that you edited to make it no longer a double post, so i thought it wasn't needed. -------------------------- Give your dreams a chance.™ - Apple in the mid '90s Warrior maclover5 68k Macintosh Liberation Army Number of 68ks Liberated: 6

I did get a free 7200 and a now dead classic 2. Still you here about all these people getting free iMacs and mega cheap powerbooks etc etc.

heh, cool. Another midwesterner. I was beginning to think I was all alone over here with noticing a rarity of mac hardware. lol._________________ Leutennant SCCHICAGO HotLine:scchicago.homeip.net Website:http://scchicago.homeip.net Forum: http://scchicago.homeip.net/forum |
