Now that my move to ASIP has become a smooth transition (not really heh) and I am completely over, account has been made to allow file access of the hotline files. The login/pass are the same for either AFP or FTP.

All you have to do is point yourself to: dot68k.no-ip.com and use the L/P: 68ksoftware/68kfiles

If all goes well, you should have file access.
As this is part of the .68k effort, head to http://68kmla.webicane.com/ and voice your opinion and get up-to-date news about the program.

That's a very impress looking site and service. I'm very impressed (not that impressing me is important). just get rid of the 6400 picture and you're set. for some reason that bugs me, i don't know why.

Thanks!
Heh, oldmacman, cable isn't very important, I have a 128 bit upstream limit, so you won't see downloads much past 10k...

Does this mean I can finally try to do hotline . . . without actually doing hotline?

Still, my parents won't let me on for anything longer than half an hour except for system updates and stuff.

Yest JT, lol, you can access all the files normal HL'ers can. [:D
Only thing you need is a mac with access to the 'net, and I just know how hard that is for you!

And oldmacman, that makes sense, I was just warnign against expecting superb speeds.

It's looking pretty good. What machine are you hosting it on again?

Just a few suggestions though (these aren't critiscims, just suggestions!).

If it's .68k shouldn't it be more 68k inspired? Lose that 6400 and swap it for an 840 AV or 950! Swap those little connectore (although they look really cool) for ADB. Or go crazy and make a model of an ADB connector in a 3D program and render it with a transparent material!

Where it says .68k Internet Services for the rest of us it really isn't very clear, grey text on a grey background. The same for the grey background in the search boxes, white would be better. Perhaps combine this message in with the .68k window.

I don't know if anyone else has noticed but the interface is pretty bulky, even on my 20 inch monitor it's pretty large.

Oh an I just though why not use an about this macintosh dialogue box at the bottom of the pages for server info and statistics, keeping the site more consistent with the Mac OS interface.

Hmm, after making all these comments I feel I should offer my help. I'm pretty handy with most graphics stuff, HTML, CSS, Perl, a bit of XML & PHP. I can offer a bit of space on my server too, I rent it though featureprice.com and it's had 100% uptime so far. Perhaps you could use it for essential files or a temporary page when yours is down for maintenance. Let me know.
