Today, Wednesday, and Friday, the University is having a surplus auction from 1-5 pm. (SpaceBoy, it's in a white building with red framing that's across the parking lot behind the library.)I haven't seen the goodies yet, but shall I be on the look out for anything? Last time I was able to pick up a 7600, Monitor, Keyboard, and Mouse for $50. 68K's liberated: 4 68Ks adopted to loving homes: 2 PowerMacs adopted: 1 |

Cool, thanks for the info/tip! I should be able to head over after lunch and have a peek around... but it'll most likely be torture for me, as I've only got about $9 to my name at the moment... Hmmm, faced with the eternal question: To buy food... or Mac stuff.... Maybe I'll see ya there! :-) SpaceBoy PS Okay, okay, I'll say it out loud: Mac's win out over food every time! If you see any cases that are cheap (aka, under $20) I'd be intereseted I wish there were surplus auctions around here. Then again, if there were, they would probably be all windoze... ~The Penguin **| Want free 68kmla email? So it is, so it is... I just got back from the sale, and, while they have some very attractive Mac stuff (8600's and 9600's for $35!), I'm very frusterated with the way the sale is being conducted- it's all by silent bid, and you don't even know if you 'won' the item you want for a week or two. The upside is that, once all the bids have been placed (a week or two, I guess), they'll have a 'grab-pile' for whatever's left, and that'll be first-come, first-served, which is what I greatly prefer! It's so annoying to bust a$$ to get the last $8 from my checking acct., run a jillion miles cross campus, only to find out that I can't actually buy anything. Grrrrr...
