Dear all,
I have a LC575 logic board fitted to a colour classic.
Do you know of any video capture card which would fit into
the LC575 LC slot?

Many thanks

Lang

There may be a TV tuner card that fits there...

Hey, what is this doing in my forum?

Anyway, you'd first need to get an LC PDS to Nubus adapter, and then you'd need a video capture card that's only 7" long, which I'm almost positive doesn't exists. As far as I've seen, all the Nubus video capture cards and TV tuner cards are full-size (12").

The only computers you'll be able to use a PDS -> Nubus adapter are the IIsi, 610 and 660av. (someone correct me if i'm missing any models - ones with built-in Nubus don't count)

SE30 maybe? It worked with the ExpanseSE if memory serves.

Is the LC575 mobo a late LC/Q605 or an early LC58/Q630 variant? I can't tell from the applespec data. The architectural transitions from 475-520-550-575-580-630 are fascinating (the whole scenario seems strange even for Apple!). I also can't understand the form factor solution for your upgrade. Is the color classic mobo mounted in a vertically oriented Q630 style drawer with the funky edge connector/wiring harness setup?

From the I/O changes in the series it looks like some really interesting options might be open to you if my suspicions about form factor and system architecture development prove correct

Now that I think about it, the connector on the back of my Duo2300c is actually an '030 PDS, which makes my Duo Dock a 2 slot NuBus adapter connected to an'030 PDS-to-PPC adapter on the Duo board. That's a little like stretching the cart AROUND the horse isn't it, talk about convoluted system architectures! ;-)

Actually, it worked out very well, I can't think of any other case where a PDS spec served three generations of CPU's.
