Get it? Anyway, this isn't really a topic for discussion, but I thought I'd post a quick note here to let everyone know that my Laserwriter 4/600 is now working over a C610 localtalk bridge and is accessible over airport in OS XYes, it works. Ohhhh yes it does. The old and the new are working together { candyPunk } { Captain of Observation, 68k MLA } { 68k Macs liberated: 4} { My baby: Q660av } |

Awesome! How'd you do that? My reason for asking is because next weekend I might have the opportunity to pick up a LaserWriter (don't know what kind yet),and would love to be able to access it on my iBook running Jaguar.I have the iBook connected to a Quadra 630 (running Jaguar and 8.1, respectively) over Ethernet. -icebook1

The first thing that you'll need to do is to install the LocalTalk Bridge contol panel on the 630, and then connect the LaserWriter to the 630 over LocalTalk.Depending on the kind, OS X may or may not have drivers to start printing right away. ~Coxy - Leader, Tactical Operations Unit Mayor of NuBus City v3.0

You'll want a LW with level 2 postscript. Check out the TIL (applespec) for that{ candyPunk } { Captain of Observation, 68k MLA } { 68k Macs liberated: 4} { My baby: Q660av } |

Does a Personal LaserWriter 320 have Level 2 PostScript? That's the one I got. Oh, and the Quadra is gone, replaced w/ a Performa 6400 running OS 9...Thanks.
