I got an HP Jetstore 6000 (c1528f) working under A/UX 3.1 with the included Retrospect backup.. Cool! I now have 4GB (8 compressed) of backup space at my disposal.

I did some more shopping today at my favorite used computer store. For a grand total of $3.47, I picked up 2 Tandberg 2.5gb (5.0 compressed) tape drives, and a 3/4 height Toshiba CD-ROM (for mounting in my SparcStation 4) One drive even still had a tape in it, but it was only 525mb. They have a rack full of old drives that are 1$1.00 or $2.00. When I'm bored I pick up a few bucks worth of junk. I've gotten some to work. Such as a 2.0gb hotplug barracuda drive (works nicely un my SparcStation 4)

They've got about 6 or 7 Sun Ultra1 workstations for $149 each there as well as several over priced SS10 and SS20 systems. The Iris Indigos are slowly coming down in price. I might pick one up when the price gets low enough.. I'll need a special mouse/keyboard.

Oh incidentally, go to http://www.irisindigo.com for a similar forum as this one but for SGI collectors. :)
