Aloha,

I am going to add an SE to my little army here, but at the moment I saw it had problem and whenever I turn it on, I get the qustion floppy icon. (i.e. no system folder found)

Suppose the battery on the board has dried....how do you replace such one ? what type has it got ? does it got any at all ? (Don't laugh , at Apple's website it doesn't mention any battery for the SE)

Thanx in advance.

Welcome to the MLA!

Are you sure there's even a Hard Disk in it?
See the web site (do we have a link to it on the forums page again, btw?) for the field kit's boot disk recommendations etc.

Thanx for the quick reply...

I can't seem to find such a kit :-( Do you have a link ??

Anyway, the SE has a hard drive, and looks in a good condition...

Either the drive is hosed or there is no OS on it. Try booting from a floppy and reinstalling the OS.
