I mentioned that I had some old songs that I'd done using the ancient musical notation writing/instrument making software called ConcertWare+. Well, as I was going through the dozen or so tapes I have with stuff I've done, I also found some supposedly lost songs done by the band I was in back in high school. So, I ripped the three other songs we did (our "hit single" is available here on my Mp3.com page, it's all the way at the bottom) and put them on my iDisk along with one of the ConcertWare+ songs I did. Have a listen...and keep in mind, this stuff was recorded using primitive analog equipment way back in 1995 or so! -> Filesharing for El Ciné <- 666th poster and 666th thread-creator Mod of the Mac II series Forums Total 68K Macs liberated: 7 My Site: http://cine.sytes.net My Hotline Server: 840av.sytes.net

Thanks! In case you're wondering, I was the drummer, my brother was on guitar and this guy we knew named Von was on bass. I recorded everything in the garage of my parent's house in Miami using three Shure mics that were borrowed from a friend, one for each instrument, run through a 5-channel mixer and into a tape deck. We were really into that punk/grunge moment...which I have since grown out of but look back upon with fond memories. 666th poster and 666th thread-creator Mod of the Mac II series Forums Total 68K Macs liberated: 7 My Site: http://cine.sytes.net My Hotline Server: 840av.sytes.net

Well, neither I nor my brother have seen Von since early '96, as he disappeared shortly after our first and only performance at a bar in Little Haiti, Florida. We suspect that he moved back to Germany, but who knows? As for my brother, the last time I saw him was about 2 years ago, as he lives in Seattle. He still plays the guitar, though, and has a pretty nice recording studio set up in his house. I'm actually going to give him my pride and joy soon, the infamous Quadra 840av, so that he can start using ProTools to archive and burn CD's of his stuff. quote: I'm diggin that jam #4.... Ah yes...that was our "epic" song. I kinda wish the recording was better...as the heavy frequencies belching out of the guitar and especially the bass amp start to destroy the drums...but alas, it is what it is. Anyway, yeah, I really like that one too...it's very visceral, conjures up a lot of things...and it's hard to believe we came up with that (and the other three) in the space of about a month. 666th poster and 666th thread-creator Mod of the Mac II series Forums Total 68K Macs liberated: 7 My Site: http://cine.sytes.net My Hotline Server: 840av.sytes.net

P.S. - If you listen to these through a compresser, like the "sound enhancer" in iTunes, they sound a lot better.666th poster and 666th thread-creator Mod of the Mac II series Forums Total 68K Macs liberated: 7 My Site: http://cine.sytes.net My Hotline Server: 840av.sytes.net
