Sun Remarketing is usually overpriced, but that is pretty crazy... it's not NIB or something, is it?~Coxy - Leader, Tactical Operations Unit Mayor of NuBus City v3.0

Even if it was NIB, damn. That's just plain CRAZY!! I'm still trying to decide if I should pick one up or not. I got to thinking about it and I'm on the 'net so much with my DSL connection ( ), should I still go for it? Think the ones I was lookin' at were around $40.

That's still a bit much. If it comes with a monitor, keyboard, and mouse, that might be reasonable. For the machine by itself, that's too much. You know, I have seen some friggin ridiculous things for sale in the past few weeks. I was checking out Shreve's clearance section, which I keep meaning to call about, and I was enticed into their other pages. Their site seems to be down, or maybe this peecee is just screwy, but take my word that they too are asking in the hundreds for various 68k's. In fact, I think they wanted $300 for a Classic II. I know certain mobo's were listed at above $120. Who, exactly, do they think is going to fall for this craziness?{ candyPunk } { Captain of Observation, 68k MLA } { 68k Macs liberated: 4} { My baby: Q660av } |

In Shreve's case, I think it's a question of one overwhelmed person trying to maintain the info on the site, not enough time to take do it and one heck of a mess to sort thru and no real system established to match anything up with reality or of determining what was posted where and or when.Think Mordor$oft on a tiny scale, except with really nice people who care about trying to do right by their customers and a decent product. jt ™. I just went to Shreve's site, and they want $129 for a 650! Sheesh, I think I'll stick with my local computer store with the dusty-in-the-corner used Mac section... That way I can support the local brick-and-mortar at the same time.

You need to call, they're $29 on clearance, still too high for a Thrift Store level price, but about what I'd expect from a liquidator. Looks like they're redoing their site and dropping prices. I could have save $25 on my last load of goodies by waiting a little longer . . . Feces occur! jt ™. Trash Hauler: call sign: eight-ball C.O. AC-130H SpecOps 68kMLAAF |

Cool, thanks. The only problem there is that by the time that I pay shipping, it'll probably be more than the one at the local store. Guess it wouldn't hurt to call before I lay down the dough though...
