Is it a full height 5/1/4 inch HDD? I've got me one of them which I've never mounted, since I've never had enough free power to be able to!

I have one of dose in my IBM XT, 10MB of full height ST506 goodness. The damn thing consumes 5 amps and sounds like a learjet on takeoff run when it starts spinning. I am beginning to wonder if the energy that entire machine consumes is equal to that of my refrigerator's consumption.

hehehe. my school's techie (who is completely against macs, for some reason) put SEVEN (!!!) 5.25" full hight drives in one case!!! the SCSI controller only supports 2 drives, but once windows 98 started, and each drive spun up, one at a time... whoa. and the thing was like 150LBs!! it was funny.
