i'm looking for some numbers on the floating point performance of the 68k macs of old. specifically, how many flops does a 512k put out? i'm putting together specs on a project i've bodged together, which i'll post on the hacks forum once i have a chance to take pictures.the models i'm interested in are the 512k, plus, SE and SE/30. the first three are probably all the same as they all use the same 8mhz 68000. anyhoo, i've found their MIPS numbers on lowendmac, but i'd like to compare them with the floating point numbers we've all seen on the new G4s ------- option8 ------- |

Actually, their speeds might vary slightly, depending on mobo design and all that jazz. Would macbench give you this kind of info? Hmm, I think there's a benchmarking utility called Speedometer on the 68k MLA hotline server that I seem to recall gave me some sort of info regarding math operations. Try that, maybe?{ candyPunk } { Captain of Observation, 68k MLA } { 68k Macs liberated: 4} { My baby: Q660av } |

Speedometer only gives its own arbitary scores for FPU operations. Besides, anything with a 68881/68882 FPU is gonna suck.~Coxy - Leader, Tactical Operations Unit Mayor of NuBus City v3.0
