I was down at the recycling shop this arvo... saw a couple of neato bits that I really should have bought but didn't... twin floppy SE for $3 for example.

Anyways, I was picking through a box of old ISA cards when I found a couple of mac mobos.... one from an SE, but the other one caught my eye. It was one of the pull-out jobbies, like from my 575, but it also had a slot on the RHS (looking from what would be the front of the mac) labeled "video in connector" or something similar. This is something my 575 definitely does NOT have. Any ideas what I was looking at? A mac TV mobo?

i think I'll go back and grab it, so I can describe it better. I'm sure it can't be more than a buck.

Cheers!

Sounds to me like a Quadra 630. (or similar performa) it has the same form factor as the 575 but has video capabilities with an AV or TV board.

The following boards all had that port:

580
630
6200
6300
5200
5300
5400
5500
6500
6400

I doubt it would be a 6/5500 or 5/6400 as there boards have no PDS, and if it was lacking PDS you probably would have stated it.

Yep. Sounds like a 580/630 series board to me.

The remote i stole from Dad's Sony HiFi does the trick well enough for me! (He doesn't use the remote on the HiFi for some reason...)
