Well, actually it's not doing anything. It fell of my footlocker onto a carpeted floor and now it won't power up. The sleep light is flashing like its asleep whether the lid is open or not, and when I press the power button above the keyboard the sleep light stays solidly lit until I let go.

Anyone...anyone...Bewler...Bewler?

Thanks

The problem with computers is they do exactly what you tell them to. Now where's that fuggin 'any' key?

Macs liberated thus far: SE-30, Performa 6320CD and Duo 280c.

Check out the Duo cracking site in the Links Project (click the period in my sig) and open it up to look for loose connections for the kbd and the power button, etc. if removing the Battery for a while doesn't force it to shut down so as to let it restart using the power key.

Dunno tho, I'm no expert, have you got the service manual or are they downloadable again from the link on gamba?

Have you tried resetting the Power manager? IIRC, remove the main battery, press and hold the reset for 45-60 seconds.

To help you :
- Verify if yours batteries are in full charge. If yours batteries are full, remove them and put them in your meat-frozen ( with protections )
" It's not a joke ".After a cold process ( 24Hrs ).Pull up them in your DUO and retry to launch it.

- Another solution is to use Keys restart. It' perhaps in sleep mode.
( Search in your DUO 's book).

- Try to buy an electronic key at an apple shop if it exixt.

Mine , it's make " PRRROUTTTT " in the floppy.Hye!!!!

With my machine, the switch under the latch (which put the machine into sleep mode when closed) jammed after a tumble. Maybe yours has a similar problem
