Would I be able to do a cluster of ocmputers for doing things with 68ks? I'm sure that it's possible with os8.1... so i guess if it was a quadra the answer is yes... ooOOOo.... that sounds just like ever-so-much fun! who knows what one of us would want a computing cluster for... but it'd be really cool! Does anyone here do any kind of distributed computing projects over the internet like seti on computers... once in a while i try out distributed.NET... but that's not very fun... any others you might suggest?

we talked about this a while ago, basically there isn't much left for 68k clients for distributed processing. I think we all participate with different groups. i'm doing folding@home and seti@home.seti@home killed 68k support a couple of years ago. Folding doesn't even work in os9 (osx only).
As far as clusters go, check out the appleseed project. They have (alteast had, i don't know now) some mild support for 68k macs, but you have to compile your apps for your exact cluster and things can get very scary if you don't know what you're doing (like me).

Boy, could I use a cluster for doing Stuffit archives and stuff. That program is so slow! Does anybody have an idea of how to do this?
