The joy of mass liberation. Taken from a Performa 475, a Quadra 605, and Quadra 610 dismissed from active duty, I managed to find three 16 mb 72pin SIMMs. I removed the two 4's i had in my 650 (kept the 16 that was in there), and added the 3 chips. 4 x 16 + 8 (mobo) = 72 mb RAM!!!! 72 mb RAM!!!! My 650 is happy now. Current Specs: 1.2 gb Quantum Fireball 72mb RAM (up from 32) 1mb VRAM (max) (perfectly working) MultiScan 15 with swivel stand jacked from a broken MultiScan 15 AppleCD 600e (4x external scsi cd) GlobalVillage Teleport Platinum (33.6 modem) Apple Ethernet Twisted-Pair transeiver (AAUI-15 ->RJ-45 transeiver) "Apple Keyboard" (this is the one that shipped with the SE) sorry for the rant. I am just so happy. ! FireWire is fast General, 4 star Forum moderator 68k Macintosh Liberation Army |

Not really a rant, more of a "brag" Glad to hear that a quadra is kicking some ass! Now, I'd be kicking more than a little if i could get that power supply and casing i need... { candyPunk } { Captain of Observation, 68k MLA } { Macs liberated: 6 } { My baby: Q660av } |

Just call up Sun Remarketing (heh, typed "Microsystems by accident) and tell them as a member of the '040 Fighter Squadron Battalion of the 68k Macintosh Liberation Army, that you have the authority to comandeer (sp?) an 840av PSU and mobo cable.FireWire is fast General, 4 star Forum moderator 68k Macintosh Liberation Army |
