Just a lil note for anyone who may be running ANY kind of publicly-accessible 68k machine online - post your boxie's specs/OS/etc here or email me. I have a few already on:

I realised I might be missing a few of the ones local to the mla!. couldn't forgive me doing that...

I have set up, not running on the net yet, but set up a server, it's 68k

Macintosh IIsi, name: "siSERVE"
- 33MB of RAM
- 68882 coprocessor
- 20MHz 030
- Apple (quantum) 250MB HDD
- Quantum 1.2 GB HDD
- Mac OS 7.6
- Personal Web Sharing (from os 8.1)

I hope to have eudora mail srever, and some sort of FTP server on there eventually, and probably a better internet server... but this thing runs really fast on a crossover to the iMac... I was streaming a media file over PWS...

I have a friend who has cable internet and free power who would probably love to be in it's presence...

Next year, depending on how lucky i am, i may just be able to have access to a high speed 'net connection, and be able to set up a website on an LC575....just a possibility though....i'll let you know in time if it actually happens.

OK, i have a mac to add:

Performa 476 "Email Server" (I know, i'm creative)
33 mhz full '040
12 meg ram
1.2 gig drive
Ethernet
Os 7.6.1

Running Stalker Internet Mail Server (which is amazing, i'll be writing about that next...) and the tracker!! The tracker is back to a 68k machine. It's really not that exciting, in the last 20 days it had 67 hits. I would say that 's close to not being worth it, but luckily it doesn't take up much space/processor so i'll keep it around.

Hi I used to run the 68k MacCafe on Hotline a year ago and i have a few 68k machines i could set up as servers, but i don't think we have that much need for them. Forgive me if i'm wrong but like a previuos post 67 hits?
is not worth going thru all that trouble. Right now i have a Private FirstClass BBS running on a PM 6500 which i could set up with some 68k files if anyone would be interested. I could be persuaded to set up the 68k Hotline server if there is enough interest.

I have a couple servers on 68k Macs that do indeed get pretty decent traffic, considering their target markets. I have a page for CVS compiles of Angband with stats here: http://angbandcvs.homedns.org/stats.html as well as a copy of the Vieuxmac archive here http://angbandcvs.homedns.org:8081/stats.html . It's not huge by any means, but I'm happy :) Hopefully now that I'm getting some content on the System 7.1 Heaven site, things will be a bit more interesting. I have some semi-downtime here at work so I've been getting some stuff up there.

I have an idea as to how I'll be making siSERVE my official server machine... instead of the Intrikit Weaver

Mac OS 7.6
MacHTTP 2.5
some FTP software (unidentified at this point)

hopefully 2 HDDs, a 500MB and a 1.2 GB

I call it: siSERVE!!!
