I am beginning to think that the .68kMac idea has been abandonned, due to apathy on the part of everyone but myself and Da Penguin, who has some Hard Drives en route to me. I am still waiting for marchie to email me about the 8100 he was going to send me to run as the main .68kMac server.
if anyone is still interested, please post here.
thanks

I could use a Q700 as the server i have it right here, but I need another ethernet card to make it the server, and a bigger HD. So i'm still interested.

Too many cooks spoil the broth. You're better off doing this kind of project with one or two dedicated poeple, rather than the semi-dedicated masses.

Personally I'd like to see the project get off the ground, however I don't think it will work if there are too many people working on it. I'd love to help, but I'm as lazy as the next guy

Of course once you get it going you may find it is too popular and it'll cost you money - at least that's what happened to one big company we all know of....

cheers

I was thinking of doing it for $10/year, to cover the bandwidth, and I do agree that between 3-4 dedicated people wold be best.
Oh well, I am still waiting for emails from some people that said they'd donate hardware.
thanks for the wisdom, flash

Believe me I am dedicated! 10$ sounds good to but if I don`t get any better hardware i`ll have to host on a Q700.
