I'm posting this from the Northridge Apple Store where none of the new 1GHz PowerBook G4's have arrived yet. Hell, the staff doesn't even have any idea when they will be getting them! The good news is that they have ONE of the 867MHz models available, and they're going to hold it for me until Saturday. Yep, that's right folks, I'm getting a TiBook. When I saw the new 'books first thing this morning, and the $900 price drop for the 67MHz speed-bumped, former-fastest PowerBook, I knew I had to get one. Getting one I am, and by Saturday at the latest. I'm actually getting a bigger check from my client than I had thought, about $2600, and with that I can get a PowerBook G4 867, a printer (probably a HP 5550) and some good headphones. ROCK ON!!! I can't wait to bring my baby home! 666th poster and 666th thread-creator Mod of the Mac II series Forums Total 68K Macs liberated: 7 My Site: http://cine.sytes.net My Hotline Server: 840av.sytes.net Edited by - cinemafia on 06 Nov 2002 22:51:21

*squeals in delight*Score one for Cinemo! I would be sorely tempted to get a similar machine, except for the fact that a) I'm on a student budget and b) my Pismo/400 is still going very strong, in need only of a big horkin' RAM upgrade. (Running Jag on 192 MB is doable, but sometimes not so fun.) Besides, at least the Pismos have the Apple logo the right way around still... aesthetics are fine, but having it this way helps so much in orienting the machine! Congrats, Cinemo! I envy you... My friend is happy, since he's going to get a better iBook for his dollar, and so am I, because I might just go and buy one at those prices... ~Coxy - Leader, Tactical Operations Unit Mayor of NuBus City v3.0
