Yes and No, depends on how you look at it and your minimum bus/cable driver tolerance correctness requirements. Google EXPANSE + NuBus + chassis etc. to find info on the Cards/Cable multislot expansion bay combo for such a "cable" implementation. Google "slot extender" and modifiers to find cards that do a similar thing for use in product development. Search here for Danamania's post regarding a PDS extension using wires on a 475 (or 605?) for a REALLY ugly, quite evil, (electrically) hack to clear the PDS when blocked by a CPU socketed daughtercard. jt ™. Nothing to be embarassed about, there is a PCI hack similar to what you probably had in mind available from a site in Holland. They use it to move PCI cards to cram Macs into 1u rackmount cases. Something similar would certainly be possible. My minimum bus/cable driver tolerance correctness requirement exceeds industry standards by significant margin. That's why hacking Macs whose monetary value is virtually at the level of dumpster ballast can be fun. If one is reduced to actual dumpster ballast . . . *shrugs* . . . who gives a rodent's rump? jt ™. Trash Hauler: call sign: eight-ball C.O. AC-130H SpecOps 68kMLAAF |

Can you explain that's is an electrical lock on PDS or NUBUS slot ? It's interesting , it's like a PC rope or POWER CYCLE !!!! Zap the PRAM is not efficient ! Then, how to make a NUBUS RESET or PDS RESET connectors ?A socketed daughtercard on a LC 475 or Q605 , where's it ? It's the war.... |
