Both! It is Apple ][, Apple ][+, Apple //e (original/enhanced), Apple IIe (platinum), Apple //c, Apple //c+, and Apple IIgs. Or was the platinum still a //e? I forget. My prefered generic term is an Apple II. And yes, I'm a huge fan of the Macintosh II models.

Not necessarily. My Super Serial Card manual has "Apple II Super Serial Card User's Manual" on the front of it.

I don't think there's any one way to refer to them.

No power? If so, did you check the power supply (ie. is it giving you +/- 5 volts and +/- 12 volts)?

The PSU is good...the floppy drive comes on. It just doesn't show any video.

Does the computer behave as you would expect otherwise? (Eg. when you put a DOS3.3 disk in the drive, wait for disk activity to stop, then type CATALOG<return>, do you get disk activity? Or something similar.)

If so, is there any oxidation on the RCA jack? Do the RCA jacks solder joints appear to be intact? Did you verify the cable and monitor are good?

If not, which revision of the IIe are you dealing with?

I don't have any disks for the machine. It checks the floppy drive for a disk though when turned on. I've checked the connection of the video port and stuff, and its still no good. This computer came from a pretty abusive home, and i believe that a bunch of 7th graders may have messed around inside before i got it. A lot of the wiring for the cards is screwed, and i believe the mobo could have been destroyed by static.
