*68k MLA server maintnence!*

Da Penguin Senior Member USA 1094 Posts	Posted - 30 Oct 2002 : 17:16:43 Yep, I am going to need to take the server offline later on this week. It will go off no earlier than friday mornin, but will be taken off for nearly a week in that time. Incase you all want to know, here are the reasons why: -Being moved to a G3, Possibly upgraded to OS X server, depends on what I can do in that week of offline! Also, (If anyone has a spare ZIF they can donate/sell cheap, it would be appreciated. I only have one right now, I blew my second one up, and I will have two G3 machines, so yeah, only one ZIF for two machines and I'm tight on cash. No fear though, the server will still go on!) -HD upgrade! Yep, now there will be 40 freakin GB of storage! (well, minus the system folder and my 3 GB of music!) -Room needs to be rearranged -The current server, 6500/250, is being removed and put in my home theater -I'm sure there is more, but I forgot! ~The Publice Service Warning Penguin \| Want free 68kmla email? Da Penguin Senior Member USA 1094 Posts	Posted - 06 Nov 2002 : 17:13:44 Ok, well all the mail, http, etc. stuff has been moved over,a nd the HL files are almost done. I couldn't get OS X Server to install right, but oh well, c'est la vie. FYI, anyone using my mail service, you may have lost a msg or two between 7:00 and 7:10 P.M. EST, because right then I was running around turning machines on and off and setting IP addies , But I think I got it rpetty well covered.
