Ok, darwin is the basis for OS X right?, but darwin has a PPC and x86 version, therefore can you run OS X on intel?. Just curious... No, the closed-source binaries that constitute the main portion of OS X are compiled only for PPC. It would be possible to port OS X to Intel, but right now, even if you copied all of the OS X files from an OS X installation over to an x86 Darwin installation, they would not run.The closest you'll get is OpenStep. It runs great on Intel. The CD image and boot/driver floppies are on the 68kMLA Hotline server. Its hardware support is quite limited; search Apple support for the OpenStep supported hardware to see if your PC will work. Generally, PC's from 1997 and before work fairly well.
